Roberto Villate

I, Roberto Villate (4winds 7 Seas), have been riding since 2000 and teaching kitesurfing full time since 2003. In addition to this I have taught as a US Sailing Keelboat instructor and One Design/PHRF Performance Boat Handling coach. This experience includes over 500 successful kitesurfing lessons, 100% spot-free safety record, given in a wide variety of premier teaching locations around the world, including Thailand, Viet Nam, all over Florida, the OBX, the Bahamas, Michigan, and Texas.

Prior to taking up kitesurfing in 2000, I had windsurfed for recreation for over 20 years in many places around the USA and the world, and have also been sailing extensively since 1975. After receiving my degree from the University of Colorado in 1980 I began a full-time career in the field of architecture and construction for 23 years, starting up and running my own firm for 13 years. Finally in 2004 I decided to pursue my passion on the water full time, and turned to teaching and exploring the world through my love for kitesurfing and sailing.
