Matthew Campbell

I'm 25 years old and have lived in Tucson my entire life. I began taking private lessons on the pipes when I was only 10 years of age. Though initially very difficult, I persisted through the frustration and have been playing in bagpipe bands, Celtic ensembles, as well as playing on my own professionally, both locally and abroad, ever since. I believe that with any genuine passion for a particular skill or art form comes a desire to share it with others; I love teaching the pipes and watching others grow in both their musical ability and in their appreciation for the instrument's beauty and power of expression. I challenge my students to be technically competent players but also deep ones. I hope you consider taking up this wonderful musical tradition - you won't be sorry.
