Theresa Hafer

Hi there, I am a 60 year old happily married Sewing instructor. I have lived in the New Orleans
area for most of my life. My mother was a seamstress. I learned to sew, design, draft and alter
patterns from her excellent teaching.
My first job was at a costume company,from there I went to the Singer Co. as a sewing instructor. I learned the retail sewing business and received a multitude of training while in their
employ.This included the whole spectrum of equipment for domestic and industrial use.
My teaching took on a full lineup of classes from individual to group demonstrations. I have been teaching since 1978 and I am still gainfully employed at the "ALL ABOUT SEWING", store.
My hobbies happen to also be in the sewing field. I love to make and wear costumes. I belong to several groups that allow me to do these things with my family and friends.
I prefer to teach on a one on one basis but I do group classes at the store. I have an on going sewing club that I moderate and I guest teach for another club.
It's very satisfying to help other's find the joy that I have found in sewing and creating.
I do on occasions Quilt, Embroidery, Digitize and even use a Knitting machine.
To sum things up I have been and will continue to sew. It's my job, my hobby and I still love
it. So, let me help you Sew.
