I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2009 and now make my living managing and performing with my touring band, The Whiskey Boys, and my wedding band, The Golden Band Wedding Band. While performing is my passion I truly enjoy teaching; it has been part of my life since my mid teens when I would teach my fellow homeschoolers how to swing dance at a camp in Vermont.

"David Delaney is a kind and patient teacher whose love of music is immediately obvious to anyone who meets him. Every week David teaches me a new tune by ear and by now I have learned more tunes than I can count. David himself must know thousands of tunes in the traditional genres. He has taught me Irish, Old-time, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz, and Contemporary tunes. I even bring tunes to him, either a recording, sheet music or both, and he teaches them to me. I’m always amazed at how quickly he figures out a tune he’s never heard before, and then teaches me how to play it! As a graduate of Berklee, David is extremely knowledgeable about music theory, composition, improvisation, proper technique and performing and he is able to articulate his knowledge in a comprehensible and practical way. I have very much enjoyed my lessons with David Delaney over the past three years and am grateful that I can continue to learn from such a considerate, encouraging teacher. "
