Brittany Johnson

Brittany holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Music and French from Illinois State University, graduating with departmental honors. During her time at Illinois State, Brittany taught in Illinois State University’s String Project and Community School for the Arts teaching group and private lessons. With a passion for playing and teaching alternative styles, Brittany has placed consistently in several competitions. A few of these competitions include; 2008 Champaign County Fair Senior Division Talent Winner, 2009 ISAAF 3rd place Talent Winner, and 2010 + 2011 3rd Place Illinois State Fair Fiddle Contest. Her students have gone on to place in several local music and talent contests, including the Illinois State Fair Fiddle Contest. Watching her students perform are her proudest moments. Brittany currently performs in town with local bands playing fiddle, mandolin, and singing.
