Some of my very earliest memories are of playing the violin -- I started at the tender age of three, and have been working with music ever since. From childhood to adolescence I studied piano, violin and flute at the Wilmington Music School, taking private, group and orchestral lessons in each discipline. For 8 years I was part of the Delaware All-State Orchestra and Choir as principal violin, first tenor, and later as a judge of both. At 14 I began to teach violin privately, and have not stopped teaching since! I attended the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, CT and the University of Delaware. My performance experiences are to numerous to list here! I am a member of Newark Symphony and Delaware County Symphony, and I am honored to be the concertmaster of the Newark Chamber Orchestra. I will post my upcoming performances on the Accent Music bulletin board. My full biography is posted on Accent Music’s website, www.accentmusic.com

"5 years of violin lessons and my daughter is still enjoying playing with Maestro Morgan as her teacher from age 10 to 15 presently. Morgan is engaging at all levels from those who've just picked up an instrument to those who have been playing for years. I've attended the lesson with my daughter because I wanted to listen in and learn more music theory myself. I would describe Morgan as helpful, energetic (which is very much needed in working with children), extremely patient, and enthusiastic. Within the past few years, I bought a guitar to learn and Morgan has included me in many of the arrangements. We've been in two recitals as a trio and my daughter and I practice frequently as a duet. She made special arrangements of the songs we like such as Send Me an Angel by Scorpions, Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd, The Last Unicorn by America and Scarborough Fair by Simon & Garfunkel. Most challenging was during her 7th and 8th grade year, my daughter was asked to join in her school's small band. Morgan was able to teach all the songs they were doing in B flat (band instead of orchestra) as well as provide alternative notes in many parts because some parts were written by flute or oboe. From classical to contemporary including everything in between, we've enjoyed the 'player's choice' style incorporated into the lessons. What a great treat to be able to share learning music!"
