About Trumpet
Name an ancient civilization, and they had some version of a trumpet. Egypt, China, Peru and many others created the earliest trumpets, which were most likely used as signaling instruments in religious or military pursuits. The ancient instrument were more simplistic and comprised of one main tube.

Today, when we think of the trumpet, we remember famous players like Louis Armstrong and Miles Davis. Most trumpet lessons are taught using the modern day instrument, which is made of brass tubing with three or four valves. Trumpet teachers may specialize in one or many types of music, including ragtime, mariachi and big band—the trumpet’s construction makes it an extremely versatile instrument! During your trumpet lesson, you may also learn any number of techniques, like “flutter tonguing”, “growling” or “glissando”. Curious as to what the heck these could mean? Book a trumpet teacher on Betterfly and get grooving today!
