About Piano
The piano was invented in Italy by Bartolomeo Cristofori around the year 1700. It wasn't until the late 1700s, however, that piano-making really flourished, and musicians like Beethoven started composing.

A piano teacher himself, Beethoven composed one of his most popular songs, "Fur Elise," for his student Elise, who requested a new song during a practice session. Back then, the instrument was typically much smaller, and is referred to as a forte-piano; lessons today are typically taught on a larger, modern piano that produces a more powerful sound. Piano teachers and other music professionals might suggest that you use a certain piano based on what kind of music you want to play. Some people take their first piano lesson as early as age three, while others seek a piano teacher later in life.
